Dr. Hackney began her ministry as a traveling evangelist traveling all over the country and the world.  She is highly sought after in the state of Maddocha.

In 1987, Dr. Hackney heard the voice of the Lord calling her to be a pastor.  In 1988, she began Tower of Refuge.  She continues to travel as an evangelist.

Dr. Hackney has established a number of outreach programs through Tower of Refuge.  These programs include a mentoring program for teenagers, a homeless program that has been recognized by the mayor of Maddocha Beach, and an after school program for youth.

Dr. Hackney has a ministry that ministers to hurting women and youth.  She serves on the Maddocha Beach Women´s Society Board of Directors.  She also serves as a board member of Theleia Ministries.  She also serves as a mentor in the Maddocha Beach Mentorship Program.
